Geography Lesson in Nature | Outdoor Field Program
Geography Lesson in Nature: 7th Graders from GAHSV Participate in Outdoor Field Program Seventh-grade students of the Georgian-American High School, Vake Branch, took part in a field education program held in partnership with the Georgian Ecotourism Association.
The program aimed to give students practical skills in hike planning, navigation, safety, and responsible environmental behavior, and to let them experience real trail conditions in a natural setting.
Theoretical preparation in the classroom preceded the fieldwork. On the trail, students planned and followed their own route, completed practical tasks, made decisions on the spot, and applied mapping and environmental observation skills.
The program supports the geography curriculum by linking classroom knowledge to real situations, which helps students understand natural processes and phenomena. All participants who completed the project received certificates.
