The Mu Alpha Theta Spring Tour of the Math Olympiad was held on May 14th. Participated in the Olympics: Georgian-American school - 56 students; Georgian-American High School - 391 students.

Georgian-American school students participated in the Civic Education Olympiad. Mariam Kanashvili and Gvantsa Khakhiashvili, students with the highest grades, were awarded by the National Center for Assessment and Examinations. We congratulate them and wish them further success!

On February 23, a scientific conference in mathematics was held at the Georgian-American School. VI grade students participated in the conference. The conference was attended by the management, parents and students. It aims to develop students' information retrieval, processing and presentation skills. The students presented presentations in Georgian and English, which were varied, creative and interesting.

On March 21, a fun quiz was held among 4th graders in math. A mathematical contest was held between both the teams and the captains. The winning teams were awarded with diplomas. The quiz was going on interestingly, emotionally and cheerfully.

Famous chess player - Grandmaster - Nana Dzagnidze, who is an Olympic team and team champion, visited the Georgian-American school on June 1 as a guest on the International Children's Day. Winner of the Chess "Stars" tournament, participant of Grand Prix tournaments, winner of many international tournaments. Georgian-American school students wished further success to Ms. Nana. On May 31, third graders were given an outreach lesson in science In the Botanical Garden. (Ped. A. Zurashvili, M. Chokheli, Supervisors: T. Kapanadze and N. Bibileishvili). Students toured the garden, heard additional information from the teacher. At the end of the cognitive lesson, the students were divided into groups and held a quiz.

The second-graders of the Georgian-American school, led by Sopho Omiadze, visited the beautiful nursery of the Gardenia, after visiting the garden, painted the pots, planted the plants, got acquainted with the rules of flower care. They also visited the monument "Georgian Historian", viewed the biblical and historical stories carved on the stone.

The team of Georgian-American school students, which will compete on behalf of the Georgian national team at the XXIII International Conference, has been approved. ICYS 2016 Young Scientists Conference will be held in Cluj-Napoca, Romania on April 16-22. The following students of our school will defend the dignity of Georgia in Romania: 1. Nia Baramadze 2. Georgian-American school students Mari Kanashvili and Giorgi Meskhi became finalists at the INTEL ISEF International Scientific and Engineering Conference in the United States. Good luck to them! INTEL ISEF brings together scientifically minded young people and demonstrates their talents in the international arena. It allows students to submit their own scientific papers to internationally recognized scholars for evaluation. Intel ISEF 2016 and Georgian Finalists Georgian-American School students- Mariam Kanashvili and Giorgi Meskhi, became finalists at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) - the world’s largest international science competition. We congratulate them on their victory! Intel ISEF brings young scientists together and demonstrates their talents in the international arena. At the same time, it allows students to present their scientific projects to the internationally recognized scientists for the assessment.

Winning the IYIPO Tenth International Conference of Young Scientists and Inventors The 10th International Olympiad of Young Scientists and Inventors was held in Tbilisi. This year, more than 400 young inventors took part in the project, and delegates from a total of 30 countries visited the capital. The Olympics lasted for three days. At the exhibition held on April 21-22, the jury identified the projects that won the first, second and third places out of 150 works presented. 10th grade students of the Georgian-American School: Mariam Kanashvili and Giorgi Meskhi won gold medals in the mathematics section (Supervisor: Ia Mebonia). The goal of the International Olympiad is to help young people around the world introduce their own innovative inventions to as wide a circle as possible.
