The ICYS International Conference of Young Scientists was held for the 21st time in 2014. The conference is currently being held in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. The Georgian team was composed of 1 student from our school and 7 students from the Georgian-American high school. They submitted four project papers. As always, the conference was well organized. The hosts arranged a varied tour for the participants. The group was particularly impressed by the Orthodox churches of St. Sava and St. Mark. Excursions to the Avala TV Tower and boat trips across the Danube were also unique. This time too, Georgians were successful in the mathematics section and we did not give the first place to anyone. Two silver and one bronze medal - this is our achievement at the ICYS conference in Belgrade. 124 students from 18 countries participated in it. The following students brought victory to the Georgian team: Giorgi Jgushia and Natia Cheishvili - silver medal Irakli Gordadze and Andria Asatiani - silver medal Lana Tediashvili and Irakli Iremashvili - bronze medal Zura Shatavidze and Giorgi Beruashvili - Certificate of Honor The team arrived in Belgrade via Istanbul. Therefore, under the leadership of Mr. Mamuka, the team visited the two main sights of Istanbul - the magnificent Hagia Sophia and the Sultan Topkapi Palace.

The Georgian national team consisted of the Georgian-American school delegation and the winners of the 'Leonardo da Vinci' competition. Which was held May 9-16 in Los Angeles, USA. The finalist was revealed by the Georgian-American school - Natali Chumburidze, Who presented an interesting and important project in biology. At the end of the exhibition, the contestants saw and toured the sights of Los Angeles, traveled to Hollywood, Santa Monica, visited the Grammy Theater and the Nokia Museum. Founded in 1950, the Intel ISEF International Science and Engineering Exhibition is the world's largest competition, with more than 1,500 students from 70 countries participating each year. Young scientists compete with each other with interesting and original scientific-engineering works. Georgian-American high school students have been participating in the Intel ISEF exhibition since 2005. The most successful competition for Georgian students was the 2007 New Mexico competition. Then Lado Meskhishvili's work "Recursive Attitudes to Solve the Congress Problem" won a special prize from the American Mathematical Society; In the team projects section, the work of Giorgi Kukhalashvili, Nika Gigashvili and Giorgi Benashvili "New Class of Infinite Solutions Diophantine Equations" won, which won the IV prize in the team projects section. Next year Intel ISEF will be held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Regeneron ISEF - International Science and Engineering Fair is the largest student competition in the world. Since 1950, it has been held annually in the US. The authors of the winning GAS and GAHS projects, on behalf of Georgia, travel to the United States and participate in a competition with 1,800 peers from 80 countries around the world. ​ Each participant presents their work on the stand and defends their work before a jury, often composed of Nobel Prize winners. The director of the school, Mamuka Meskhishvili, founded the INTEL ISEF Representation in Georgia in 2005 - GEO 001, called the Georgian Science Projects Olympiad https://findafair.societyforscience.org/?form= This year, Georgian Science Projects Olympiad will be held on 15/03/2022- 21/03/2022. The deadline for applying is 14/03/2022. The Winning Science projects will be presented virtually during the International Science fair in May.

International conferences and Olympiads were held online because of Covid Pandemia. Lastly, our school participated in the 2020 UN Modeling of the Physical Environment in New York, USA. And now the good news has come from Dubai, where the world-class student science event ESA 2022 is being held. Its organizers have sent an invitation to our school. Students of the Faculty of International Relations and Law, who successfully graduated from the Georgian-American School last year, met with elementary school students on the topic of the Russian-Ukrainian war. They gave a specially prepared presentation to the students and talked in detail about the problems of the war and the ways to solve them. The search for a solution was followed by many poignant questions. Eventually they came to the conclusion that every human being, by all possible means, should fight this greatest evil by non-violent methods. Another international project - "My European City". Georgian-American school students - Sandro Nazgaidze, Nia Kakhiani, Sopho Mchedlishvili, Sofia Kereselidze, Rezi Bukhaidze, Andria Tsilosani, Giorgi Mukutadze, Sandro Khodeli, Anano Kenchadze, Anna Saker and teacher participated in the project: 100 places of democracy. The school-camp discussed topics such as: urban planning, project management, democratic architecture, city identity, etc. At the end of the camp, the groups created maps of democratic places. The winning teams of Georgia and Ukraine dedicate their international success to the peace and tolerance among nations. Georgian-American School and Georgian-American High School teams represented Georgia in the international scientific conference -Expo-Sciences Asia 2022 and they were awarded ten medals. Georgian team supported and encouraged the Ukrainian team. The principals of the above mentioned schools even offered to accept Ukrainian schoolchildren in Georgia. The Georgian team stood in solidarity with them as our country has experienced the brutality of the war. The victorious teams of the conference believe that war and human suffering can be confronted with tolerance, knowledge and benevolence. 38 countries took part in the conference. Among 705 scientific projects our students were successful in the fields of Mathematics, Physics and Programming. Their projects deserved outstanding feedback.

Another amazing project held in Romania from March 1-6 supported by Erasmus+ and implemented by local organization International center of education. ProActive Group Georgia had an opportunity to send 5 young people and group leader of Erasmus+ project:” STAY SAFE “, brought together 30 young people from 5 countries, from Italy, Turkey, Romania, Georgia and Armenia. The aim of the project is to raise awareness among the population about the phenomenon of Cyberbullying. The participants had the opportunities to get acquainted with the culture and traditions of different countries on intercultural evenings. Saba Gogoladze – one of the successful student of Georgian-American school student participated in the project.

Model United Nations Development Program - Georgian-American school students. On February 18-20, 10th and 11th grade students of the Georgian-American School: Ani Gogia, Elene Tsitsishvili, Natalia Papuashvili, Giorgi Chomakhidze, Giorgi Kopaliani, Luka Aladashvili, Zurab Zhorzholiani and Jano Samarguliani participated in the Model United Nations Development Program, which was conducted remotely for the first time this year. Participating in this international project is a great experience for students to acquire knowledge, develop their skills and contribute to solving global and national problems. Conference participants were awarded with certificates.
